Conflict of Interest Commissioner

What is the Commissioner's Role?

The Commissioner's primary role is to assist Members of the Yukon Legislative Assembly and Cabinet Ministers to understand their obligations under the conflict of interest legislation, to assist them in identifying areas of possible conflict, and to provide them with advice on preventing conflicts from occurring.  The Conflicts Commissioner also investigates any complaints made by Members under the legislation.

The Conflict of Interest Commission also has a role with respect to cabinet and caucus employees, and Deputy Ministers.
